By accessing or using EagleCite ("the Service," "we," "our," or "us"), you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

EagleCite is a modern reference management platform that enables users to:

  • Create and manage highlights and annotations
  • Utilize AI-powered search capabilities for finding relevant content
  • Collaborate on research projects
  • Choose between our storage or their own storage providers
  • Export and import reference data

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate, complete, and current information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
  • One person may not maintain multiple accounts

3.2 Account Security

  • You are responsible for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • We are not liable for losses due to unauthorized account access

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

  • Ensure you have rights to upload and store content
  • Respect copyright and fair use principles

5. Storage and Data Management

5.1 Storage Options

EagleCite provides two storage options:

  • EagleCite Storage: We provide cloud storage for your documents
  • Your Own Storage: Integration with your chosen storage provider

5.2 Using EagleCite Storage

  • We use UploadThing for file storage and management
  • You must comply with UploadThing's Terms of Use
  • Storage limits apply based on your subscription plan
  • We maintain backups but recommend you keep your own copies

5.3 Using Your Own Storage

  • You remain responsible for your storage provider's terms and policies
  • University and institutional users must comply with their organization's data policies
  • You grant us necessary permissions to access and index your content for our AI features
  • We are not responsible for issues with third-party storage providers

5.4 Data Processing

  • We may process your content to provide AI search functionality
  • Metadata and indexing information may be retained for service functionality
  • You retain ownership of your content and research materials

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content

  • You retain ownership of content you upload or create
  • You grant us a license to use your content solely to provide the Service
  • You represent that you have rights to upload and use your content
  • You are responsible for respecting others' intellectual property rights

6.2 Intellectual Property

  • PT. Anak Kucing Terbang owns all rights to the platform, software, and associated IP for EagleCite
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software or content
  • Our trademarks and logos are protected intellectual property

6.3 AI and Machine Learning

  • We may use aggregated, anonymized data to improve our AI features
  • Your specific content is not used to train models for other users
  • AI-generated suggestions remain subject to your review and approval

7. Subscription and Payment Terms

7.1 Subscription Plans

  • Various subscription tiers are available with different features and storage limits
  • Pricing is subject to change with 30 days notice
  • Features may vary by subscription level

7.2 Payment Processing

  • Payments are processed by third-party payment processors
  • All fees are non-refundable except as specified in our Refund Policy
  • Taxes may apply based on your location
  • Failed payments may result in service suspension

7.3 Automatic Renewal

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
  • You may cancel at any time through your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

8. Refund Policy

8.1 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

  • New subscribers may request a full refund within 30 days of initial subscription
  • Refund requests must be made through official support channels
  • Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
  • Only applies to first-time subscriptions, not renewals

  • We do not guarantee accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content
  • Users remain responsible for verifying and validating all research information
  • AI features may have limitations and errors

11.3 Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL EAGLECITE AND PT. ANAK KUCING TERBANG BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS.

11.4 Maximum Liability

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Third-Party Services

12.1 Integration Partners

  • We integrate with various third-party services (UploadThing, storage providers, etc.)
  • You must comply with third-party terms of service
  • We are not responsible for third-party service issues or changes
  • The Service may contain links to external websites
  • We are not responsible for external content or services
  • External services have their own terms and privacy policies

13. Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • You remain responsible for charges incurred before termination

We may terminate or suspend your account for:

16.4 Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
